In 1969 the first Sealy Posturepedic was made in Australia.
That's a lot of good night's sleep and correct back support.
On 25th September 2007 the 2 Millionth Sealy Posturepedic mattress made here in Australia was sold to Mr & Mrs Wallen - both in their eighties - from Wynnum West. They purchased the mattress at Snooze Macgregor.
"We have never been lucky, haven't ever won anything major. The call from Sealy came completely out of the blue. Sealy reimbursed us for our mattress, and best of all we were able to choose a charity to donate $20,000 to."
Damian Neill, Snooze Macgregor Proprietor, was similarly overwhelmed. "It was like winning the lottery - what are the chances? It really has brought our focus back to selling Sealy Posturepedic."
A special Thank You!
To say 'thank you Australia' for making Sealy Posturepedic the most preferred bedding brand, Sealy have donated 2 million cents - that's $20,000 - to the Starlight Children's Foundation, the charity selected by Mr and Mrs Wallen.
"We have been privileged in that all our children and grandchildren are healthy, no more than a couple of days in hospital with fairly minor things. I can't imagine what families with seriously ill children are going through, and they deserve all the help they can get. The Starlight Children's Foundation is doing marvellous work in cheering up the kids and helping their families."
