Last year we had the opportunity to collaborate with Australian sporting identity Leisel Jones for our Bed Art 4 Kids campaign, to raise much-needed funds for Ronald McDonald House Charities Australia.
Leisel was one of six celebrities who created a one-of-a-kind mattress design which was then raffled off to raise money for seriously ill Aussie kids and
We caught up with Leisel to chat about how she's sleeping after receiving her own Sealy-designed mattress.
Had you experienced any sleep concerns in the past?
Sleep is such an important component of recovery and I was finding that I was waking up extremely tired, even though I felt like I got a good eight hours sleep. It turns out that the bed I was sleeping on was far too soft and and I was rolling into the middle. I thought a super soft bed was what I wanted until I realised that I wasn’t being supported throughout the night.
Finding the right support is imperative to a refreshing night’s sleep. Have you found that your sleep has improved since sleeping on a Sealy?
I have been sleeping on my Sealy Posturepedic Exquisite Ensemble for a couple of months now and have found myself waking up more refreshed because it is slightly firmer – it has supported me so much more. My upper traps aren’t as tight because I am so much more relaxed when I sleep.
Are you finding you have more energy to perform your regular routine and life tasks?
Day-to-day tasks become so much easier when you wake up feeling refreshed after a good night’s sleep and I’m finding I’m much more relaxed when I get into my car and drive to the city. I don’t feel strung out and snap at the slightest inconvenience because I feel rested.
