Here at Sealy, we are proud to be a member and contributing force to several charities, organisations and councils. Read on to learn more about how we give back.
We are a proud member of the Australian Bedding Stewardship Council. The ABSC is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to changing the way we use and dispose of mattresses. They are an accreditation body for mattress recyclers and are actively working on solutions to divert mattresses from ending up in landfill.
Queensland Ballet is a creative and lively company, known for attracting world-class talent and nurturing emerging local talent, connecting people and dance culture across Australia and internationally. The partnership between Sealy and Queensland Ballet comes naturally. Both organisations embody the same values of excellence, performance and quality. “Visiting Sealy Australia confirmed my belief in the exciting synergies that our organisations share,” says Artistic Director, Li Cunxin.
Ballet dancers are constantly putting strain and stress on their bodies and we know that sleep is the most important tool for recovery. Our partnership ensures that dancers get a quality night’s sleep and wake up replenished and rejuvenated.
As a locally owned organisation with employees across the country, we feel a strong connection to our communities. When natural disasters strike, we provide assistance wherever we can.
We have donated mattresses and bedding through registered charities GIVIT and Good360 to help those impacted by flooding, severe storms and bushfires. In doing so, we hope to provide support for those who suffer financial hardship, displacement and loss, with the hope we can help them get back on their feet.
At Sealy, we understand that when a child is seriously ill, the whole family is affected. That’s why we’ve proudly partnered with Ronald McDonald House Charities Australia (RMHC), an independent not-for-profit organisation that provides support and accommodation for families with seriously ill children. To date, Sealy have gladly donated more than 2,000 mattresses to the organisation. Our aim is to help families get a good night’s sleep and alleviate some of the added stress of being temporarily displaced from their own homes.
Ronald McDonald House Charities is growing and Sealy pledge to grow with it. With new program developments constantly in the works, we’ll continue to donate our time and mattresses to ensure that families in need across Australia get plenty of rest.
It’s important to consider how much space you have in the bedroom, who’s sleeping in the bed and what comfort means to you. Try our online mattress selector or visit a store near you.
